More than 500 supporters attended Saturday’s fundraiser/kick off event
SPRINGFIELD, PA – Representative Bill Adolph officially kicked off his re-election campaign representing the 165th Legislative District at a fundraiser on Saturday with more than 500 supporters. The fundraiser, which featured the band The Soul Cruisers, was held with supporters at the Springfield Country Club.
Representative Adolph, who is currently serving his 10th term, has championed a number of issues during his tenure, including the environment, economic development, education, medical malpractice liability reform, and job creation.
The former chairman of the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, Adolph has been one of the legislature’s leading champions of the Growing Greener program, which provides funding for open space preservation, watershed protection, cleanup of hazardous sites, and other environmental efforts.
Other accomplishments include introduction and passage of legislation creating the state’s property tax/rent rebate program which provides protections to senior citizens, legislation eliminating the state personal income tax on the sale of a home, and legislation repealing the Social Security offset, which was costing Pennsylvania seniors millions of dollars in lost benefits.
The 165th Legislative District includes portions of Morton, Springfield, Marple, and Radnor.
